Vision

Vision allows you to see where you are, and the path to where you are headed. Vision is the portrait of purpose. When the actual image is not present, you can draw pictures with your imagination. Vision is mobilizing, empowering and creates a platform, or bridge for the journey to your destiny. If you can see where you are headed, you can get to where you are going. Vision is critical to success. The key most important thing about vision is light. Natural, or spiritual darkness not only blurs vision but darkness will make your way difficult and dangerous. We all need light to see right. The Good News is that Light is more powerful than darkness. Jesus said “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.” John 8:12 NKJV Jesus is the author of vision. The light shines in the darkness,   and the darkness can never extinguish it.[b] John 1:5 NLT

Even a little crack of light beneath a shut door in a darken room will offer some clarity and definition in that room, in time with focus, you can see again. When the light is on, in that same room, the darkness from the outside beneath the door seems to have no impact, because light is more powerful than darkness.

We can stumble around in darkness, bumping into distractions, obstacles things and people that hinder the purpose and plan God has for our lives, or we can allow the light of Christ to give us light, give us vision to see where we are and where we are headed. The Word of God is light and vision. David said Your Word is like a lamp to my foot and a light to my path. Palm 119:105 David’s relationship with the scriptures strengthen his resolve to see beyond his current position, situations and trials He allowed the Word of God to bring him understanding, guidance and direction. Believers are to light the world also. Mat 5:14 As we receive Jesus as both Lord and Savior and the promised Holy Spirt, we too light the world. Mat. 5:14 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Lord we pray that your light (Word/Jesus) shine on every dark place in our heart, thoughts, bodies, and relationships, and give us vision to fulfill your plan and purpose for today and every day. In Jesus name Amen.
